Photodynamic therapy
Skin damaged by sun and acne can be treated in combination with a topical medication (Levulan) to enhance the laser's effect. This process requires a 48-hour indoor stay after the treatment, as sun light must be avoided during that period. Photodynamic therapy is especially effective in those with severe sun damage and actinic keratoses.
